Indices refer to a group of stocks or other financial assets that are used as a benchmark to measure the performance of a particular sector or market. Indices can be traded through a variety of financial instruments, such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs), futures contracts, and options contracts. This allows traders to gain exposure to the broader market or specific sectors without having to buy individual securities.
